WHY WE EXIST

Because too many things that matter are harder than they need to be.

People are doing their best to navigate complicated systems, carry too much information, solve problems that shouldn’t be theirs to solve, and make sense of things that were never designed with real life in mind.

We notice those things. And then we can’t quite leave them alone.

Kokoro exists to find the things that don’t quite work and build better ways of doing them.

Not because everything needs to be disrupted.
Sometimes it just needs to be simpler.

Start with the problem

We don’t start with the technology. Usually it’s something that makes us both say, “Surely there’s a better way?” If we can’t explain the problem in a sentence, we’re not ready to build.

Private by default

If it touches your health or your life, privacy isn’t something we bolt on later. We think about it from the start. Where we can build things so we can’t see your data, we do. That’s not a policy. It’s how we build.

No startup theatre

No growth hacks. No selling data. No pretending everything is going to “revolutionise” the world. We use AI where it genuinely helps. People still make the decisions.
